4231 is one of my favorite formations too. Like in the previous article about my Best Formations and Tactics Online Soccer Manager 2018.

But it's possible for formations and tactics to have a weakness.

So, my Anti-formation for 4231 Online Soccer Manager is...

343B Wing Play.

Here's the proof :

Yep, I can win 4-0 by using Inter Milan 1964-1965.

It has 64% ball possession and 30% shoot accuracy. In my opinion, this formation is good enough to beat 4231.

For the tactics of this 343 B Formation, you can follow below :

Style of play: Wing Play

Line Tactics

Forwards: Attack Only

Midfielders: Stay in Position

Defenders: Defend Deep

Marking: Zonal

Offside Trap: No

Tackling: Normal/Aggressive

Pressing: 79%

Style: Attack

Tempo: High-Speed Passing

I suggest that at least have a winger with high attacking value. This will make it easier for your team to create many chances to score.

This formation is sometimes suitable for teams like Inter Milan and Chelsea.

Well, that's the formation and tactic that I use to beat the 4231 Formation in Online Soccer Manager.

Best Defensive Tactic For 5311 Online Soccer Manager

Online Soccer Manager Tips and Tricks - In this article, I want to show you about defensive formation and tactic in Online Soccer Manager.

The formation is 5311.

5311 formation is a rarely used formation in Online Soccer Manager. Usually, for defense, managers often use 451 or 4231 because it balance for ball possession and defense. But, I think 4231 or 451 today is not strong enough to defense or attack.

This 5311 formation really suitable if you have many defenders that have good quality, and you are managing underdog team or weak team. (usually, the team that only targeting between 16 until 10 position) 

I found this formation and tactic from youtube, but it worth to try. It focuses on defense, so your team usually only make 1-2 goal per match.

Ok, the tactic for this 5311 formation is :

Style of play: Counter Attack
Line Tactics :
Forwards: Attacking
Midfielders: Protect the defense
Defenders: Defend deep
Marking: Man Marking
Offside Trap: No
Tackling: Aggressive
Pressing: 30%
Style: Defensive
Tempo: High-Speed Passing

You can change the marking to zonal if man marking not work.

5311 formation is compatible with counter attack playing style. But this formation has a weakness. It will lose against 433B.

I don't know why, but when I play against 433B with this 5311 formation, I'm always lost.

If you want to use this tactic, I suggest that you buy defender and goalkeeper first, strengthen them. And after that, you can buy attacker and midfielder.
